Mkoma Bay tented lodge

Uniquely situated on Tanzania’s secluded mainland coast in Pangani, only a few hundred kilometres south of the popular beach resorts around Mombassa, Mkoma Bay Tented Lodge offers exclusive tented bungalows in 6 acres of lush gardens overlooking the Indian Ocean. Its off-the-beaten-track, Bush-on-the-Beach theme offers an attractive and exotic alternative to close-by Zanzibar.

With new management since 2015, and now known as Nic’s Tented Lodge, the lodge offers several recent additions: private beach cove, fire-pit, lounge-bar, as well as more on-site activities: pool table, pétanque/boccia court, library and dart.

Mkoma Bay Tented Lodge was build almost 20 years ago as the first up-market hotel between Bagamoyo and Tanga. It distinguishes itself by offering accommodation in Tented Bungalows as you would expect to find them in the country’s many National Parks. Its lush green gardens overlooking the ocean is a unique high-light.
